If it’s not one thing it’s another. I signed papers on Monday for my house and was to get the keys Wed or Thurs. Well, the realtor listing the house didn’t get an updated approval letter from the 2nd bank, so title is waiting for the letter before I can close on the house. So, I signed a paper saying that due to the pending purchase, I can occupy before the closing. This way I can get in to clean and rip out carpet and get things started on the house.
Today I got a bunch of friends from church and work to help me clean the house because it was filthy! We cleaned that house from top to bottom, including ripping out the carpet and pad. I took a few pictures to document the cleaning process, but I got so busy ripping out carpet that I didn’t get everyone. All told there were ten adults plus two girls helping. I don’t know about everyone else, but every muscle in my body aches!
Hopefully the updated letter will come tomorrow so that I can get the keys on Tues/Wed! It’s hard being patient!
A big thanks goes to Amber (and Julia and Lindsey), Jenny, Rachel, Sonya, Theresa, Leah, Ferlayna, Emily, and Krystal for all of their help!

What are your plans now that you are sans carpet? Planning to re-carpet or are you going to do tile or something else? Glad you could have help.
My back aches for you! I can't believe how much all of you accomplished in such a short time. Hurrah for friends!!!Can't wait to see the carpet you select. And the bright blue wall gone!
Congratulations! I'm sure being a home owner is going to be so much fun for you!
Many hands make light work. Well, at least lighter. What a blessing to have such thoughtful and dedicated friends who were willing to sacrifice a Saturday to help you out. You are loved!
Marydalene-I'll be putting in new carpet because that is what my budget is allowing :)I'm going to pick out carpet today!
Jocelyn-I even said that on Saturday ;) and I thought of you and Grandma.
Must feel good to have all the dirty carpets and grime gone. You and our crew did a mountain of work in one day. Hope all goes according to plan B.
I think I am now on Plan C or D-I've lost count. Oh the drama!
Oh, if everything in life would just go as planned! Hang in there.
