Artwork for my Classroom

IMGP2181 Fancy Nancy, Duck, and Skippyjon Jones

I wanted to add a little splash to my classroom, so I made some fun artwork to hang behind my desk.  Canvases were on sale at Michaels, so I bought a few.  I found some images online and projected them on a canvas that I had taped to my whiteboard.  I traced with pencil and then colored in with crayon.  Crayon works surprisingly well on canvas!  My students say “Wow!  You made those?”.  I told them I just traced and colored, but they were still impressed.

Wow, Andrea! You told me about these on the phone and I thought it sounded like a great idea. I had no idea how great it looked. Glad you posted pictures. Very fun!

You know, I think you will be able to use these great pictures some how, somewhere in a project for your masters classes!

I saw the pictures over mom's shoulder when she first read the blog post about them and she told me you painted them for your room. I asked if it was for your bedroom (because you love thoes stories so much and they look amazing) or for your classroom. I, like your kids, am very impressed even if you did just trace and color
