This afternoon we had a thunderstorm! I opened my sliding door so that I could hear and smell the rain. Las Vegas doesn't get rain very often, so we have to enjoy it while it lasts.
After the rain had cleared away, I went for a nice 3.5 mile walk around my neighborhood. One thing that I really like about my neighborhood is that there are so many little walking paths that every time you go on a walk, you can go some different way. I definitely had a workout, but it was nice to be outside and enjoy the weather.

Mmm. I love summer rains. I was hoping we would get a bit of your thunderstorm here, but no such luck.
I'm ready for a rainstorm too -but not until after we are back in the house! Good for you - 3.5 miles! Keep it up!
Desert rains are the best rains ever! We had A really good storm a a week or 2 back and I saw all kinds of funny colored lightning from my back yard. So I went to the front yard to get a better look, and all the funny colors were coming from a house across the street and around the corner. They had a fire. It must have been electrical fire because it would flare up really bad for a few seconds with colors and then go away for a while.
